Festive Accessories for Pugs!

While browsing around Etsy last week, I stumbled upon Sam & Steve’s Boutique. I was pleasantly surprised to find a variety of fleece holiday themed collars for dogs and cats…and even better they were extremely reasonably priced and there was no additional fees for custom sizing. Thus, I decided that Pumpkin had to have one.
I thought it was a good way for her to show off her holiday spirit without overwhelming her with another full ensemble ;). She will surely be sporting this new look throughout the holiday season.
As an Angry Bird’s addict and lover of all things sweet…especially cake, I thoroughly appreciate this amazing work of edible art!
Best friends! Best friends!

I really love this cartoon because there is a lot of truth behind it.

Pug-o’-lantern

I know it’s a bit after the fact, but I wanted to share my Halloween pumpkin creation with you all. Of course it’s a pug…would you expect anything else.
Check out this great site I found: Pumpkin Carving Dog Stencils
The site has free downloadable pumpkin carving stencils of many popular breeds of dog - pugs, boxers, dachshunds…you name it. Even though I did not use the pug stencil on this site, I thought I’d share. It’s an awesome Halloween resource so I recommend you add it to your list of festive bookmarks.
I highly recommend you check out Matthew Inman’s site, The Oatmeal or take a looksie at his new Tumblr blog. Every time I look at his comics I end up finding some twisted way to relate or at the very least crack up internally. It take a lot to make me laugh but I have - for realsies, had some LOL moments.
Designers, creative professionals, or anyone that’s ever enjoyed reading the blog, Clients from Hell will probably appreciate or find some humor in his comic, “Why you don’t like changes to your design…”
You always have this image of the perfect thing which you can never achieve but which you never stop trying to achieve. I think, at the core of it, there’s this image that you have, an interior image of something that is absolutely perfect and that’s your signpost and guide. You’ll never get there but without it you won’t get anywhere.
Last summer I went on my usual family camping trip up to Fish Creek Ponds, located in the Adirondacks. Of course Pumpkin tagged along and I figured why not test the waters, literally, and see how she’d do taking a swim. As if that wasn’t enough, I caught a fish and will admit, somewhat tormented her with it. Nonetheless, it was a good time.
